I managed to capture an image of a beautiful Peacock butterfly at the weekend. Sadly it’s not resting on a natural surface but here it is all the same.

The commission mentioned previously for Montagues Gallery has been confirmed as a 1500 x 1000 x 100 cm piece of wall art which will look very dramatic when complete. I’ll be using the new seasons butterflies so more on this as the project develops.

Mentioned in previous blogs, my latest project is beginning to take shape. This will also be 1500 x 1000 cm and I’m very keen for it to start taking shape. At this stage I’ve sketched the outline and shortly will begin to prepare the panel to take the butterflies.

I’m planning a road trip to visit some of my gallery partners within the next few weeks. I will be changing some of the installations in order to keep displays fresh looking and improve customer interest. I’ll also be searching to find additional galleries in areas such as Cheshire and Bath.

On a personal note, I discovered reformer Pilates a while back and I absolutely love it. For an old boy like me it a perfect combination of body strengthening, stretching and general mobility. Coupled with my other fitness activities I’m feeling healthy both physically and mentally. Highly recommended.
